On May 30, 2012 Anastasiya Semchenko, Senior Associate at Verkhovodko and Partners, participated in the business seminar on «Intellectual Property Protection», held in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
The seminar was dedicated to the protection of the intellectual property and law implementation practice. The speakers covered the hotly discussed topics:
- Draft of the legislative bill amending Section 4 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation, due to Russia’s joining the WTO in Autumn 2012;
- Types of trademarks infringements and judicial practice under the lawsuits arising in connection with the use of trademarks;
- Means and procedures for protecting intellectual property rights in the arbitration courts;
- Administrative and judicial protection of patents;
- Correspondence of rights with respect to means of individualization.
